In a world gone mad with terror, crime, and constant horrific events, Diesel clothing’s creative director Nicola Formichetti acknowledges, “You don’t see people just having fun anymore.” Sparking a nerve, this fact became the challenge behind the Diesel Spring/Summer campaign: “something rarely done- to shoot people smiling”.
Captured by avant-garde photographer Nick Knight, the campaign sees former ANTM model Chantelle Brown-Young pose alongside many more limby creatures, who simply were instructed to ‘jump around and have fun.’ The result is a series of colourful images with an infectious energy of laughter, love, and wholesome enjoyment.
You know what they say, “Smile, it’s free therapy”. Amen to that.
